Hello everybody! Welcome to Fitness by Jo. I am here to offer you tips, tricks, and tools to help you lead a healthy, active lifestyle. Here you will find workouts, exercise playlists, form tips, and general advice regarding nutrition and fitness.
I graduated from Willamette University in 2013 with my B.A. in Exercise Science. Before that, I had participated in sports for years including soccer, swimming, softball, basketball, track and field, cross-country, and rowing. As my senior thesis I participated in a 160 hour internship at a sports physical therapy center and completed a paper on the education of prevention of 3 common overuse injuries of the leg. Once graduated I played on a women’s full contact football team the Portland Shockwave. From there, I broke my leg in three places, had surgery, went through rehab, and now I work as a Wellness Coach, Group Exercise Instructor, and ACSM-Certified Personal Trainer.
So my exercise history has been varied, and fairly extensive. Because of this I have lots of knowledge to share and here is my vessel to share it-Fitness by Jo. So let me know what you think! Subscribe, send me a comment, let me know how you are enjoying the ideas I’ve shared here and how they’re working for you.
Enjoy!
